Architecture Visualisation Conference (AVC)
CEO of PLACEBO EFFECTS, Kim Baumann Larsen , will present at the AVC in Copenhagen
on May 4th on the topic of advanced real-time architecture visualization.
Baumann Larsen will present a number of game inspired techniques for higher
quality architectural real-time visualisation using current commercially available
real-time applications. Features to be demonstrated include multitextures
with normal mapping, radiosity and baked Global Illumination lighting.
Example projects will include a detailed interior model of the Ringerike
Hospital somatic ward and a virtual mock-up of an office building
for material studies.
PANEL
Baumann Larsen will also chair the panel on “Real-time architecture
visualization using game technology” on May 5th. The interactivity
offered by real-time visualisation confronts the traditional digital
ways of presenting and communicating architectural space. The panel
will discuss some of the possibilities and challenges that recent
game technology has offered in this arena. The main topics are visualisation,
interactivity and content creation.
