Voksenaasen Project 2005
PLACEBO EFFECTS help Dimension Design produce a smart building model for the Project 2005 extension of the Vokseenaasen culture- and conferencehotel.

Voksenaasen culture and conferencehotel is Norways nationalgift to Sweden as thanks for the help during World War II. For 2005 a new pavillion extenstion is being designed by Dimension Design in co-operation with Arkitektgruppen 2000 AS.
Smart building models, also know as BIM - Building Information Modeling - is likely to be an essential tool at future architecture design practices. Many studios use such tools today. A smart building model is more than a mere 3D CAD model; it allows for specific information to be associated to any and every element in a digital building model. So that for instance detailed mass and quantity reports can be generated from the model, as well as plans, sections and elevations.
The owner of Voksenaasen is Statens Fastighetsverk (the National Property board of Sweden).
